room Atlantic City Billiards.
Joey Testa is one of the hottest emerging professional players
in the Tri-State Area and continues to be a dominant force in
the North East. Joey has picked up by Mezz cues radar, who signed
the Jersey Native player, to represent the Mezz brand of cues.

Joey testa came away with the "W" by way of a 9-6

Joey has several notable accomplishments throughout the year
to think about.
Joey captured 8 Blaze Tour titles, 1 second, 3-3rds and 4-4th

Marcus
Chamat takes Skyline
|
Winner Marcus Chamat and runner-upShaun Wilkie
|
As 2009 came to a close, The Blaze Tour held
its last event of the year at Skyline Billiards in Brooklyn,
NY, where player and owner Rob Pole rolled out the red carpet
for some of the strongest players in the Northeast.
Several notable top pros and player were in attendance including
Sweden’s Marcus “Napoleon” Chamat, Marc “Spain”
Vidal, Danny “Kid Delicious” Basavich, George “Ginky”
SanSouci, Shaun Wilkie, Matt Krah, and Jorge Rodriguez, to name
a few.
Shaun Wilkie has been the player to beat on the tour of late,
and came out firing in this event. Shaun rolled over Tony Phu
7-1 and Denise Reeves 7-1, before matching up with Ginky. George
was playing superb in the match, but Shaun crossed the finish
line first with a close 7-6 win. Shaun then went on to defeat
Marc Vidal 7-4 before losing to world-class player, Marcus Chamat
7-6.
Marcus broke and ran out the final rack to put an exclamation
point on solid performance. Shaun would meet Marcus again in
the finals setting up a rematch to test the European champion.
Marcus Chamat won the rail over by going undefeated through
the winner’s bracket with superb play. Marcus defeated
Kenny Rutman (7-4), Jerry Tarantola (7-2), Jorge Rodriquez (7-3),
Matt Krah (7-2), and Shaun Wilkie (7-6) getting to the finals.
In the finals, it was all Chamat, as he dominated Wilkie in
this match 7-3. I would like to thank all the players that came
out to play and and all the sponsors.

Wilkie Washes Away
the Field at Sandcastle |
The Blaze Tour Stop, made their
first visit to Sandcastle Billiards in Edison NJ. Room owner
and pool enthusiast "Sandman" welcomed 26 of the Northeast's
best pool players to the one day Pro/Am event. The Blaze Tour
is known for having the strongest one day field in the Northeast,
but players didn't expect so many heavy hitters to be in attendance.
"Ginky" George Sansouci, Joey Testa, Shane Winters,
Mike Miller, Matt Krah, John Alicia, Dave Grau, Randy Schwager,
Shaun Wilkie, Dan Cintron, Joey Landi. and "Kid Delicous"
Danny Basavich all came out to battle. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danny_Basavich
The last Blaze stop at Sandcastle, Mike Sigel was dominant,
and it was clear that several of the top up and coming players
were hungry to stir up some buzz around their game.
To the delight of the knowledgeable NJ crowd, Kid Delicious
came did not disappoint his fans through impressive play, but
came short of cashing after losing a "Hill-Hill" set
to Shaun Wilke.
Top regional player Mike Miller was in dead gear, as he defeated
Erin McManus 7-2, Shaun Winters, 7-5, Ginky 7-5, John Alicea
7-6 lining up a Winners side "Hot Seat" match with
Joey Landi.
On the bottom half of the Winners bracket, Joey Landi went through
Duane Toney "Wu Tang" 7-6, Derek Schwager 7-3, Ben
Sadowski 7-0 and Randy Schwager 7-2 on the bottom half of the
winners side bracket.
Joey Landi was impressive in bouncing back to top form, after
a long break from the game. Joey mentioned that he is playing
well because of putting in a lot of hours on the table at Sandcastle,
which is his home room.
In the match between Mike and Joey… Mike Miller jumped
quickly out to a 5-2 lead, which proved to be too much for Joey
to handle on this day knocking Joey out of the tournament 7-4.
On the One Loss Side you had impressive performances from a
combination of players including John Alicea, Dave Grau, Danny
Basavich, Randy Schwager and Shane Winters… but no player
could constantly bring the heat like Shaun Wilke was bringing
on this day.
Shaun edged Raj Vannala 7-6, Shaun had a tough well played battled
with Dave Grau 7-3 before losing to top North East player Randy
Schwager 7-5. and then Shaun shifted into a higher gear. Shaun
Wilke defeated Shane Winters 7-2 and overcame an impressive
performance against Kid Delicious Danny Basavich 7-6, then beating
John Alicea 7-2 and Randy Schwager 7-3.
Now Shaun was lined up with Joey Landi, who at one time was
consistently a threat to win on the Florida Pro Tour. It was
clear that Shaun was hungry to make a statement at this event
and payed near flawless to defeat Joey 7-3.
The Blaze Tour uses a true double elimination format, which
meant that Shaun Wilkie had to defeat Mike Miller 2x, which
he went on to do in two consecutive sets. The first set was
a 7-6 nail biter, where Shaun clutched out a gritty run, and
the second set Shaun's momentum and swagger was too much for
Mike to fade on this day.
The Blaze Tour Staff would like to thank Sandcastle Billiards
and it's Sponsors for their support.
The Tour's next stop will be at Skyline Billiards, in Brooklyn
NY on the 20th of December.
Congratulations on a remarkable performance by "Get Some"
Shaun Wilkie. Shaun Wilkie would like to thank his sponsor Lucasi
Hybrid for equipment and on going support. I would also like
to thank thank the players for coming out to play, and special
thanks to Jerry Tarantola for covering the event. |

Rockaway |
The Blaze Tour rolled through
Rockaway Billiards in Rockaway, NJ on November 22nd, 2009. While
the host room Rockaway Biliards is a tour favorite location,
the event drew fewer players than expected.
Several of the top players on the grind came out to try to take
advantage of the lack of other top players who went to to the
Snookers event. Mike Miller, Spanky Kaba, Wali Muhammad and
Jerry Tarantola all were looking to make a statement. NY area
aspiring women's professional "Snookie" Diana Rojas,
made the trip to Jersey as well. "Snookie" has been
recently tearing it up in the NYC area, while consistently showing
heart and determination. Snookie was joined in the tournament
by another aspiring female player who has been breaking through
lately, Sandy Paterino.
Junior Champion Jonathan Castillo continues impress the Tri-State
Area as his game continues to rise. Jonathan ran into a brick
wall in Nick Kos who played a near flawless set and had Jonathat
6-1 before battling back to 6-5 before Nick was able to capture
his seventh game.
Rockaway Billiards has 18 Gold Crown I Billiard Tables, which
played similar to the way the tables played in the legendary
pool hall, Golden Q in Queens, NY. Hosts Bob and Karen Guerra
were tremendous hosts and Bob was impressive in bouncing back
from a 1st round loss to win two consecutive sets 7-1, 7-2.
The mix between old school equipment and mistique as well as
new school talent and energy was enjoyable to see unfold. Early
in the tournament Spanky Kaba and Bruce Nagle were impressive
with gritty early victories staying on the Winners Bracket,
while Jerry Tarantola upset Mike Miller by a 7-5 score to earn
two consecutive wins.
Snookie was impressive in bouncing back from a first round loss
to shut out Frank Rosa 7-0, while Mike Miller was stirring it
up on the one loss side. Mike caught a gear and went through
Paul Johnson 7-2, Yusef Khan 7-3, Jerry T 7-2, Nick Kos 7-5
and Spanky 7-2... earning him a spot in the finals.
Nick Kos was solid in battling back from 4-0 in one match before
coming back from 6-1 to almost tie it 6-6. Nick had a long shot
on the nine ball with a slight angle and misjudged it as he
scratched in the corner pocket after pocketing the nine ball
to tie the score at 6-6.
Mike Miller was matched up against Spanky Kaba who couldn't
fade Mike Millers effective break and run out gear, which led
to a 7-2 score.
In the finals it was a a match up of the two hottest players
in the tournament... Mike Miller blazing his way through the
one loss side, as well as Bruce Nagle's who's play has been
remarkable.
Bruce went through Scott Abramowitz, Frank Rosa, Mike Watson,
Jerry T, Spanky in impressive fashion. Bruce has been in dead
gear as he has settled into his new pool room newly opened in
January called Bankshot Bililards in Luzerne, PA.
Mike Miller won the flip, and from his first inning at the table,
Bruce took control of the match. Jumping out to a 2-0 lead,
then 4-2 lead... which surprised most players which pegged Mike
as the favorite.
Mike missed a key 8-ball to close the gap to 5-3, allowing Bruce
to extend his lead and to 5-2. Bruce never looked back as he
sailed to a final score of 7-2.
Congratulations to Bruce Nagel who's agressive play and fast
tempo stormed the the tournament in impressive fashion.
The Blaze Tour's Next Stop is at Drexline Billiard Club in Drexel
Hill, PA on November 29.

Marlon
Manalo over Immonen at Raxx Blaze
|
Winner Marlon Manalo and runner-up Mika
Immonen
|
The Blaze 9-Ball Tour made its way to Raxx Bar
& Grill in West Hempstead NY, Sunday September 27, 2009.
A strong field of 29 players came out to play, including Mika
Immonen, Marlon Manalo, Oscar Bonilla,Joey Korsiak, Pete Tascarella
Sr, and ladies points leader ErinMcManus, to name a few. This
was a $1,000-added event, and each setwas a race to seven.
Marlon Manalo, who was visiting New York in preparation for
the US Open, led the top half of the bracket with wins over
Pat Byrne 7-2,Ariel Rivera 7-2, Oscar Bonilla 7-4, and Pete
Tascarella Sr, 7-3.Leading the bottom half of the bracket was
World Champion Mika Immonen with wins over Joey Korsiak 7-6,
Antonio Guerrero 7-1, Rob Pole 7-3,and Mike Fingers, 7-0.
Facing off to play for the hot seat were the two favorites in
this event, Marlon Manalo and Mika Immonen. This was a well-played
match with Mika pulling away late in the set to win the match
7-5, and send Marlon to the one loss-side.
Meanwhile on the one-loss side, Joey Korsiak had fought his
way backafter a hill-hill loss to Mika Immonen to meet Oscar
Bonilla in thequarter-final, The two Long Island-based players
had a very closebattle, but Joey made it to the hill first.
Joey broke with the scoreat 6-4 and had an open table, but he
hit the the 6 ball too hard whencoming back uptable with the
cue ball, and missed position. Oscarwould win both that game
and the following game to go 6-6. In thehill-hill game, Joey
ended up with the same shot on the 6, but overcompensated, leaving
himself short on position for the 7. Joeyelected to play a safe,
trying to lock the cue ball behind the 8 downtable, but it leaked
out, leaving Oscar a tough thin cut shot, which he sliced in,
using the 9 ball for position on the 8, to win the set.
This win moved Oscar Bonilla on to the semi-final match against
Marlon Manalo. This was another closely-fought match, and Oscar
edged ahead of Marlon, 5-3. Marlon didn’t give up however,
and he won the next three games to reach the hill first. Oscar
came back to win the next game and make it hill hill, but Marlon
had a monster break in the tie-breaking game, and ran out the
rack to win the match 7-6.
The final was a re-match between the undefeated Mika Immonen
and Marlon Manalo, which would be a true double elimination,
with Marlon having to beat Mika twice. With Mika recently winning
the Galveston World Classic 10-ball event, it appeared like
no one one be able to beat him at Raxx. And in the first set
that's exactly how it appeared, as Mika jumped out to a big
5-1 lead. However, the tables turned after Mika missed a 7-9
combo, and Marlon began to rise from the ashes. At 5-4 there
was an interesting turn of events, as Marlon missed the one,
but got lucky and hooked the cue ball dead on the 2. The 1 ball
was left sitting near the side pocket, and Mika kicked it in,
but the cue ball followed and scratched, allowing Marlon to
run out the rack at tie at 5-5. Marlon took the next two games
to win 7-5 and move the finals to the second set.
In the second set of the finals, Marlon started out flawless,
with a 3-0 lead. Marlon broke hot in the fourth game and it
looked like he had an open runout, but surprisingly over-cut
the 6, giving the game to Mika. Mika would break and run out
the following game to go 3-2 in Marlon's favor. From this point
on, Marlon would dominate the match with some great shot-making,

Annual NYC 9-Ball Championships |
| Traveling all the way from Atlanta,
Georgia for the Predator World Straight Pool Championships,
where he finished 9th, Stevie Moore made an extra stop over
to Skyline Billiards in Brooklyn for the 4th Annual NYC 9-ball
Championships on August 29-30, 2009.
This event was run by Blaze Tour Director Jose Burgos and featured
a strong contingent of the area's toughest players, such as
"Ginky" George Sansouci, Mike Dechaine, Joey Kong,
"Spain" Marc Vidal, and Oscar Bonilla... although
none stacked up to the firepower of Stevie Moore, currently
ranked #2 on the Seminole Pro Tour. However, things didn't start
out so rosy for Moore, after a first round loss to reigning
World Summit of Pool Champion, Mike Dechaine, 9-6. But, this
was only a minor setback for Moore, who went on a tear through
the one-loss side.
Click Here to view the photo gallery from this event, and read
on for more details on how the 4th Annual NYC 9-ball Championship
played out.Meeting up on the winner's side final four, Oscar
Bonilla defeated "Ginky" George Sansouci at hill-hill.
Meanwhile, Dave Grau demolished Joey Kong 9-4, but would have
a tougher time with Bonilla in the hot seat match, winning a
close hill-hill battle.
Match by match, Stevie Moore climbed back through the one-loss
side to meet with Ginky in the quarter finals. Ginky would pull
ahead of Moore to the hill at 8-6, only to miss a straight-on
8-ball, giving Moore a chance back in the match... which subsequently
he broke and ran out two racks to win the match after Ginky's
fumbled 8-ball.This bumped Moore up to the semi-final match
against Oscar Bonilla, where he kept his momentum going, running
through Bonilla with a 9-2 score.
Waiting for Stevie Moore in the hot seat was the undefeated
Dave Grau, ranked #2 in the '08-'09 Joss Tour season. Grau is
from Buffalo, NY and plays out of the newly-opened Bison Billiards,www.bisonbilliards.com.
This was the first appearance at the NYC 9-ball Championships
for both of these players, and the finals would be a true double-elimination
format... Moore would have to beat Grau twice. After winning
eight straight matches on the one-loss side, Moore stayed on
point to first set 9-6, and continue on to keep a strong lead
in the second set, closing out the match with another 9-6 win
to capture the title of the 2009 NYC 9-ball Champion.
Stevie Moore, a South Carolina native, is becoming one of the
toughest 9-ball players in the country today, with a Derby City
Classic banks division title under his belt as well as countless
regional wins on the 0DFlorida pro tours. One of his more recent
accomplishments was finishing runner-up to Johnny Archer at
the Gem City Classic in Atlanta in July. Check out his website,

Tests the Field at Skyline
|
Joey Testa |
On Sunday, May 31st 2009, 29 players came out
to Skyline Billiards in Brooklyn, NY for Blaze Tour stop #14
of the season. A very tough field of players including Manny
Chau, Joey Testa, Matt Krah, Mike Miller, "Ginky"
George San Souci, Mike Fingers, Eddie Abraham, Shaun Wilkie
and Scotty Townsend.
This killer field was again dominated by "Jersey Joey"
Joey Testa, who currently holds the #3 spot on the Blaze Tour
leader board. Testa landed his spot in the hot seat via victories
over Mark Horn (7-1), Huey Moy (7-2), Alex Gilvary (7-3), and
finally a 7-0 win over Mhet Vergara which guaranteed him a spot
in the finals.
However, there were a number of top name players fighting back
on the one-loss side to match back up with Testa on Sunday evening.
For one, veteran player Huey Moy was looking to get vengeance
over his loss to Testa in the 3rd-round on the winner's side.
He made a strong return to take out George San Souci 7-6, Scotty
Townsend (7-6), and Matt Krah (7-4), but would fall to Manny
Chau 7-4.
Chau was also looking to return from the one-loss side to take
a swing at Testa, and would earn that chance after defeating
Mhet Vergara in the semifinals, 7-4. In this match, Mhet was
up 3-1 and missed a 7-ball to go up 4-1... and Chau battled
back to go up 6-4.
In the finals, (which was a true double-elimination) Joey went
up 6-4 when he chose to go for a tough 5-9 combo, leaving Manny
with the run. Joey made an unbelievable shot on the one ball,
but left himself a little straight on the two ball. Joey attempted
to bank the 4 ball but came short, leaving Manny a shot to tie
up the set 6-6. Manny made a great 4-9 carom shot forcing a
"Hill-Hill" Final Battle.
In the final game of the first set... Manny made the one ball,
and looked to come back to win the first set but missed the
two ball leaving Joey with an open table for the win.

Robb
Saez takes down Raxx Blaze
|
Robb Saez, Owner Holdin Chin and 2nd Place Finisher Adam Kielar
|
On Sunday March 8th, the Blaze Pro-Am 9-Ball
Tour brought 43 of the Northeast’s toughest pool players
out to Raxx Pool Room in West Hempstead, NY for their fifth
stop of the 2009 season. Raxx Pool Room and Grill has 29 beautiful
AMF tables with royal blue Simonis 860 cloth and is an enjoyable
room to play at. Some of the top names to turn out for this
event were Shaun Wilkie, Mika Immonen, Eddie Abraham, Matt Krah,
Robb Saez, and Ignacio Chavez. This Blaze stop was also attended
by two of the area’s top female players, WPBA pro Caroline
Pao and Erin McManus.
The fifth Blaze stop saw great performances from many of the
players, but it was Robb Saez who pulled ahead of this tough
pack to win the event. Robb, who is originally from Bridgeport,
CT, came to this Blaze event in preparation for his next pro
event, the Diamond Open 10-Ball Professional Players Championship,
which will be held at the upcoming Super Billiards Expo in Valley
Forge, PA.
This event also saw a number of notable battles, including a
match-up between Kenny Rutman and Mike Fingers. When he played
against Eddie Abraham, Mike ran out every time he broke, but
he was clearly feeling the heat against Kenny. In this match,
Kenny pulled out a hill-hill victory by firing in a long shot
on the 9-ball, capitalizing on a missed shot by Mike Fingers.
One of the surprises of this20event was that current #1 world-ranked
player, Mika Immonen, did not make it to the money rounds. Although
he played well, Immonen took two losses to Shaun Wilkie (7-4)
and Ignacio Chavez (7-3).
A less-common face on the Blaze Tour, Jamie Gremmo, turned out
at Raxx with a solid 7/8 finish. Gremmo faced Robb Saez on the
one-loss side, but could not get into his comfort zone, losing
7-3.
Waiting in the hot seat for Robb Saez was 21-year-old Adam Kielar
from Quakertown, PA. Adam had an impressive run at Raxx with
a big hill-hill win over Shaun Wilkie, who had a stellar performance
at last year’s Expo, finishing 2nd to Shane Van Boening.
In this feature match, Adam came back from being down 5-3 in
the set and pulled out the clutch win.
Current Blaze Tour #1 ranked player Eddie Abraham looked to
be the dominant player throughout the event, running through
the winner’s side bracket before things turned around
quickly as Eddie ran into a brick wall in Adam Kielar in the
hot seat match, who played near flawless in
putting together a perfect 7-0 score.
Amazingly, this win marked Kielar’s fourth consecutive
appearance in the finals of the Blaze Tour. On Kielar’s
road to the hot seat, he also impressively defeated Mike Boyles,
Greg McAndrews, Bobby Blackmore, and Shaun Wilkie.
In the semi-final match, Robb Saez would avenge his winner’s
side loss to Eddie Abraham, winning by the same score of 7-5
to move him into the finals. We also saw Robb defeat Wali Muhammed,
Carmen Lombardo, Matt Krah, Bobby Blackmore, Jamie Gremmo, “Alaska”
Sean Morgan, “The
Mexican” Ignacio Chavez, and finally Eddie Abraham.
In the finals, it was a match-up of between the up-and-coming
phenom vs. the battle-tested road warrior. This was a true double-elimination
format, so Robb Saez would have to defeat Adam Kielar two sets,
both races to six.
In the first set, Robb pulled out a strong 6-3 win, to close
the gap to one final race to six to determine the winner. In
the first game of the second set, Robb makes a error in misjudging
the rails as he made the 3-ball and sent the cue ball three
rails around the table before barely scratching. This gave Adam
ball in hand, which he took advantage of to run out and take
a 1-0 lead in the short race to 6 games. Adam and Robb then
traded games back and forth until Rob pulled ahead to the hill
5-3. Adam won the following game, and with the score 5-4, Robb
scratches on the break, giving Adam an opportunity to tie the
match 5-5. However, Adam had an uncharacteristic miss on the
4-ball, allowing Robb to take the win.Congratulations to Robb
Saez and Adam Kielar, as well as all the players that turned
out for this event, for their outstanding play. |

first place in the season opener of the Blaze 9-Ball Tour the
weekend of February 7-8. The $1,000-added event, hosted by Drexeline
Billiards in Drexel Hill, PA, drew a full compliment of 64 entrants.
From among the winners’ side final four, Matushonek locked
horns with Lee Holt, defeating him 7-3 to move into the hot
seat match versus Joey Testa. Testa, having sent Eddie Abraham
west 7-6, moved to join him when Matushonek prevailed to gain
the hot seat 7-5.
Kielar, in the meantime, was working his way to the finals from
the one-loss side. He got by Shaun Wilkie 6-3 and Scott Freeman
6-2 to face Holt, as Josh Brothers dispatched Matt Krah 6-4
and Bill Ianieri 6-3 to meet Abraham. It was Abraham advancing
to the quarterfinals against Kielar, where Kielar moved into
the semifinals with a 6-4 win. Kielar survived a hill-hill struggle
versus Testa to get a double-elimination shot at Matushonek.
Kielar and Matushonek traded racks back and forth in the finals,
with neither getting further out in front than two games. Kielar
reached the hill first and Matushonek responded by running the
next rack to tie it. Matushonek broke the final rack and scratched.
Kielar lined up a 1-9 combination that failed. Matushonek stepped
to the table and after sinking five, scratched on the 6 ball.
With a second ball in hand opportunity, Kielar made another
attempt to line up a combination that would have ended the game
and forced a second set. Kielar missed the 6-9 combination,

Shaun
“Get Some” Wilke Wins the Skyline Stop at the Blaze
Tour’s Second Stop Against All Odds
|
Winner Shaun Wilkie and runner-up Oscar Bonilla |
Maryland's own Shaun Wilkie came to Brooklyn's
toughest pool room to win, and put on an exhibition in "heart"
as the up-and-coming professional player came from behind to
win the Blaze Tour's second stop of the season.
The host room, Skyline Billiards, hosted 43 players and drew
some of the strongest players currently on the grind. The event
drew the Blaze Tour Finale Champion, "Jersey Joey"
Joey Testa, along with Eddie Abraham, Matt Krah, Mike Fingers,
Oscar Bonilla, Scott Freeman, Jorge Rodriguez, Shaun "Get
Some" Wilkie, and "The Mexican" Ignacio Chavez.
The field also drew four women players... WPBA pros Caroline
Pao and Liz Ford, as well as regional amateurs, Erin McManus
and Denise Reeves. Both Erin and Caroline won a few matches
before getting knocked out, and their impressive play is worth
mentioning.
Also making waves with impressive=2 0play was Jimmy Jusman,
who is a visiting player from Indonesia. Jimmy is a professional
in Indonesia and was proud to mention that he plays on theIndonesian
National Team, and has also played on the Guinness 9-Ball Tour.
While there were several stand-out matches, the main buzz was
being stirred up by "Get Some" Shaun Wilkie. After
losing a tough match to Jorge Rodriguez, Shaun Wilke made an
impressive run through the one-loss side of the tournament bracket,
proving that Shaun knows how to get the cash.
Shaun tore through the one-loss side, never letting any of his
opponents get to the hill, with the exception of Jerry Tarantola,
who took a 5-0 lead in the race 6, and one by one watched my
lead slip away. Shaun's road to the finals began with defeating
house pro Liz Ford, then went on to beat Matt Krah, Jerry Tarantola,
Mhet Vergara, Bill Gallagher, Jorge Rodriguez, Ken Rutman, Mike
Fingers, and finally Wali Muhammad.
In the finals, Shaun met Oscar Bonilla, who is currently one
of the hottest players on the New York pool landscape, recently
finishing runner-up in the Predator 9-ball Tour opener. Oscar's
performance was dominant throughout the tournament as he ran
through the winner's bracket undefeated. In the winner's bracket,
Oscar defeated Qtown, Mhet Vergara, Scott Freeman, Jorge Rodriguez,
Marc Vidal and Wali Muhammad.
In the finals, with a true double elimation format, Shaun was
faced with the challenge of defeating Oscar twice in the finals
to capture the Blaze Tour title. In the first set, Shaun caught
a gear and rolled over Oscar 7-1. In the second set, Oscar battled
toe to toe with Shaun but could not bring the the type of clutch
shotmaking to match Shaun's firepower, resulting in a 6-4 loss
for Oscar. After coming in second to Joey Testa in the finals
of the recent Blaze Tour Finale, Sh aun Wilke surely wanted
to make a statement in this event, and he definitely did.
After his gritty win, Shaun mentioned that he is looking to
making a statement at Turning Stone, as well as see if he can
top his last year's 2nd place performance at the upcoming Diamond
Open 10 ball Pro Championship at the Super Billiards Expo in
Valley Forge, PA.
Shaun continues to prove that he is a force to be reckoned with
on the pool scene, as he continues to challenge the competition
to "Get Some!" |
