The Blaze 9 Ball Tour made its
way to Riley’s Billiards in Boothwyn PA on Sunday Oct
4th. A strong field came out to play players like: Manny Chau,
Shaun Wilkie , Matt Krah, Kevin West Eddie Abraham, Joey Testa,
Josh Brothers, Danny Bell, Rob Krull and Jay Brotherton to name
a few.
Leading the top half of the bracket was Shaun Wilkie with wins
over Derek Schwager 7-2, Manny Chau 7-3, Chris Riley 7-3, and
Eddie Abraham 7-3. Leading the bottom half of the bracket was
Matt Krah with wins over Betty Dougherty 7-2, Sam Quinzi 7-4,
Rob Krull 7-3 and Feddy Scott 7-5. Playing for the hot seat
was Matt Krah Vs Shaun Wilkie this was a good match with Shaun
Wilkie pulling away late to win 7-4. Sending Krah to the one
lost side.
Big story was Manny Chau taking contol of the one lost side
with wins over Sharon Ohanlon 7-0, Jay Brotherton 7-2, Bob Stought
7-2 Joey Testa 7-5, Eddie Abraham 7-1 Kevin West 7-4, and Matt
Krah 7-1 to get to the finals.
In the Finals it was Manny Chau Vs Shaun Wilkie, Chau has to
beat Wilkie twice to win the event. The first set was a good
match with Chau winning 7-5, in the second set everything went
Manny’s way he held off a late run from Wilkie to win
the match 7-4.
