Shaun “Get Some” Wilke Wins the Skyline Stop at the Blaze Tour’s Second Stop Against All Odds
Winner Shaun Wilkie and runner-up Oscar Bonilla

Maryland's own Shaun Wilkie came to Brooklyn's toughest pool room to win, and put on an exhibition in "heart" as the up-and-coming professional player came from behind to win the Blaze Tour's second stop of the season.
The host room, Skyline Billiards, hosted 43 players and drew some of the strongest players currently on the grind. The event drew the Blaze Tour Finale Champion, "Jersey Joey" Joey Testa, along with Eddie Abraham, Matt Krah, Mike Fingers, Oscar Bonilla, Scott Freeman, Jorge Rodriguez, Shaun "Get Some" Wilkie, and "The Mexican" Ignacio Chavez.
The field also drew four women players... WPBA pros Caroline Pao and Liz Ford, as well as regional amateurs, Erin McManus and Denise Reeves. Both Erin and Caroline won a few matches before getting knocked out, and their impressive play is worth mentioning.
Also making waves with impressive=2 0play was Jimmy Jusman, who is a visiting player from Indonesia. Jimmy is a professional in Indonesia and was proud to mention that he plays on theIndonesian National Team, and has also played on the Guinness 9-Ball Tour.
While there were several stand-out matches, the main buzz was being stirred up by "Get Some" Shaun Wilkie. After losing a tough match to Jorge Rodriguez, Shaun Wilke made an impressive run through the one-loss side of the tournament bracket, proving that Shaun knows how to get the cash.
Shaun tore through the one-loss side, never letting any of his opponents get to the hill, with the exception of Jerry Tarantola, who took a 5-0 lead in the race 6, and one by one watched my lead slip away. Shaun's road to the finals began with defeating house pro Liz Ford, then went on to beat Matt Krah, Jerry Tarantola, Mhet Vergara, Bill Gallagher, Jorge Rodriguez, Ken Rutman, Mike Fingers, and finally Wali Muhammad.
In the finals, Shaun met Oscar Bonilla, who is currently one of the hottest players on the New York pool landscape, recently finishing runner-up in the Predator 9-ball Tour opener. Oscar's performance was dominant throughout the tournament as he ran through the winner's bracket undefeated. In the winner's bracket, Oscar defeated Qtown, Mhet Vergara, Scott Freeman, Jorge Rodriguez, Marc Vidal and Wali Muhammad.
In the finals, with a true double elimation format, Shaun was faced with the challenge of defeating Oscar twice in the finals to capture the Blaze Tour title. In the first set, Shaun caught a gear and rolled over Oscar 7-1. In the second set, Oscar battled toe to toe with Shaun but could not bring the the type of clutch shotmaking to match Shaun's firepower, resulting in a 6-4 loss for Oscar. After coming in second to Joey Testa in the finals of the recent Blaze Tour Finale, Sh aun Wilke surely wanted to make a statement in this event, and he definitely did.
After his gritty win, Shaun mentioned that he is looking to making a statement at Turning Stone, as well as see if he can top his last year's 2nd place performance at the upcoming Diamond Open 10 ball Pro Championship at the Super Billiards Expo in Valley Forge, PA.
Shaun continues to prove that he is a force to be reckoned with on the pool scene, as he continues to challenge the competition to "Get Some!"
